Zaza Farrell is the founder and driving force behind EmpowHER Enterprises Inc., a nonprofit born from lived experience, faith, and an unshakable belief that healing changes generations. What began as a personal journey through low self worth and emotional hardship became a calling to build the kind of support system she once searched for, a community where women and girls are seen, strengthened, and equipped to move forward with confidence. As the founder of EmpowHER Enterprises Inc., her work is an extension of her testimony, proof that God can take pain, refine it, and turn it into a ministry of restoration for others.
Having walked through seasons of low self worth and emotional hardship, Zaza understands what it means to need encouragement, structure, and someone willing to stand in the gap. Through prayer, faith, and perseverance, she answered the call to create spaces where women and girls can heal, grow, and rediscover who God created them to be. EmpowHER Enterprises exists to serve those often overlooked, women, foster youth, and families navigating hardship, with love that is practical and faith that is lived out loud.
In parallel with her nonprofit leadership, Zaza brings more than twenty years of experience in diversity hiring and talent attraction across pharmaceutical, biotech, healthcare, manufacturing, and technology sectors. She has led and advised workforce initiatives that connect underrepresented talent to meaningful careers, partnering with universities, affinity organizations, and corporate leaders to build inclusive pipelines. Known as a strategic thought partner, Zaza brings a nuanced understanding of workforce equity, sourcing strategy, employer branding, and long term talent development. She holds a BA in Communication from Rutgers University and an MBA from Florida Metropolitan University.
Beyond her professional and philanthropic work, Zaza is a devoted wife to Rev. Dr. Robert Farrell, and together they live with intention, joy, and shared purpose. She is a ministry leader and intercessor who believes that transformation begins on the inside and is sustained through community. She is passionate about helping people reclaim their voice, break cycles, and walk boldly in their God given identity. Her leadership reflects a deep trust in God’s timing, provision, and purpose.
She proudly serves with Top Ladies of Distinction, where she chairs the Status of Women program, and is a member of The Entreprenista League, Supprt Your Girlfriends and Black Women New Jersey. Across every space she occupies, Zaza is a builder of people and a woman committed to leaving communities stronger than she found them.
Her story is best summed up by these words:
"She is full of wounds riddled with scars, but she is still standing, and she is still beautiful."
