Our impact: We measure what we do, and we measure what changes...
EmpowHer tracks two kinds of results. Outputs are what we deliver — totes packed, workshops held, youth served. Outcomes are what shifts as a result — confidence, preparedness, skills, follow-through.
Outputs prove activity. Outcomes prove effect. We publish both, including the goals we didn't reach.

Since 2017
EmpowHer began with a single toy drive. Nine years later:
- 8,940 toys placed in the hands of children in need
- 3,500 toiletry items provided to women and children
- 1,400 backpacks and school supply sets distributed
- 410 winter coats given to families
- 305 Journey Totes delivered to youth in transition
- 75 back-to-school haircuts through EmpowHIM
- 38 empowerment workshops delivered
How We Measure
Every EmpowHer program follows the same evaluation structure:
- Intake. We record who we serve — age, referral source, program, and presenting need.
- Baseline. Participants complete a short self-assessment before the first session.
- Attendance. We track session-by-session participation and completion.
- Post-assessment. The same instrument is re-administered at the close of the series.
- Follow-up. We contact participants at 30 and 90 days to record what stuck and what didn't.
- Review. Results are reviewed by our board annually and used to revise curriculum.
We share aggregate results publicly. We never share identifying information about a young person, and all photography and storytelling is used only with documented consent.
